Bang Bang
Kevin Cater was deeply troubled after he photographed a vulture preying upon a helpless infant. He would take his own life on On 27 July 1994 by venting the cab of his truck with the fumes from the exhaust. He would state in his suicide note. I am depressed … without phone … money for rent … money for child support … money for debts … money!!! … I am haunted by the vivid memories of killings and corpses and anger and pain … of starving or wounded children, of trigger-happy madmen, often police, of killer executioners … I have gone to join Ken if I am that lucky.”
Faded + Blurred: Photographer: Witness Or Savior?
In my head tonight…
Dancing makes me feel alive when nothing else can.
You never see the bad days in a photo album but its those days that get us from one happy snapshot to the next.
“Look at your work and it tells you how it is when you hold back or when you embrace. When you are lazy, your art is lazy; when you hold back, it holds back; when you hesitate, it stands there staring, hands in its pockets. But when you commit, it comes on like blazes.” from Art and Fear
“We suddenly throw ourselves to the wind and fall into indifferent ponds.” - Rainer Maria Rilke
"When you date someone, it’s like you’re taking a class in them and when you break up, it’s like all that knowledge is useless. It’s the emotional equivalent of an English degree."

I wrote this poem 10 years ago. I was 15 and this felt like the only things I could do.
9/11
I took out my window
At a calm and quiet town
Where the wind is the only sound
And no one seems to be around
Where you’d never guess, only miles away
Tragedy has struck the day
A tragedy that shocked a nation
Full of so much devastation
The worst terrorist act of all time
A merciless and hateful crime
A tragedy felt in all our hearts
Of families being torn apart
So now, we must band together
And pray for each other
We must send our love
To those who are now above.
